What payment methods do you accept?

We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and PayPal.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will be charged when your order ships.

How will the charge appear on my credit card statement?

The order will appear on your credit card under the name “Recarta, LLC”.

My credit card was declined, but funds have been deducted from my bank account. What's happening?

Your bank is holding funds equal to the amount you tried to charge, awaiting the completion of the credit card transaction; since the credit card company declined the charge and the transaction will not be completed, your bank should release those funds within 3-5 business days. Contact your bank to see when they'll release the funds. Since your credit card was declined, we did not receive an order and no charges have been placed on your credit card.

Will I pay sales tax?

At this time, only residents of the District of Columbia will be charged a 6% sales tax. Otherwise, no.

However, that could change since many state legislatures are considering methods by which they can tax Internet sales as a means of boosting declining state revenues.

Is my credit card transaction secured?

Yes. We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption during the account registration and checkout process. Our site is secured with a GoDaddy.com Web Server Certificate. Transactions on the site are protected with up to 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer encryption. You’ll know a page is secured when you see that its URL begins with “https” and the browser’s padlock icon becomes locked.

Additionally, we do not possess or store your credit card information; it is managed and processed by our payment service provider.

What are your returns and exchanges policies?

Can I return or exchange a closeout item?

No. All sales of closeout items are final.

Shipping

What are your shipping policies?

How will my order be shipped?

We ship orders through the United States Postal Service (USPS). We offer free shipping to customers in the United States and Canada. When placing an order, customers in the United States who do not select Free Shipping have the option of having their orders shipped using USPS Priority Mail or USPS Express Mail, at an additional fee. International customers may choose between USPS First-Class Mail International Package, USPS Priority Mail International, or USPS Express Mail International.

Do you ship to APO/FPO/DPO addresses?

Yes.

How will my order be packaged when it’s shipped?

Your order will be sent in a plain or USPS cardboard box or a plain plastic envelope, depending upon the number of products you’ve order and the product’s packaging.

Will I be able to track my order?

Yes, for orders shipped to domestic US addresses. The email you receive when your order ships will include the USPS Delivery Confirmation tracking number for the shipment. You can obtain the shipment’s tracking status on the USPS web site, http://www.usps.com/shipping/trackandconfirm.htm.

Is a signature required when my order is delivered?

No, a signature is not required when your order arrives. However, we can add the USPS’ Signature Confirmation service to your shipment if you so desire at an additional cost of $2.35. If you want USPS Signature Confirmation, note your request in the Order Notes box during Checkout or send us email through our Contact Us page.

Will I be notified when my order ships?

Yes, you will receive an email when your order is shipped. The email will include your order’s ship date and, for US orders, its Delivery Confirmation number.
